We have partnered with Media Molecule and Playstation to give 15 girls FREE access to the award-winning game DREAMS™

Media Molecule is a British video game developer based in Guildford, Surrey. A valuable part of our community, they were founded in 2006 and have since been acquired by Sony Computer Entertainment in 2010, becoming a part of SIE Worldwide Studios.

They jumped into the spotlight after the hugely successful release of their open-world game Little Big Planet in 2008. Since then, Media Molecule has been jumping from strength to strength, utilising their unique and quirky trademarks in their newest release DREAMS™, published by Sony PlayStation.

Our proud partner, Playstation, is a video game brand that specialises in games consoles. The brand is produced by Sony Interactive Entertainment and is recognised around the globe. We have worked with Playstation on a number of initiatives. Playstation sponsored 3 Games Design programmes across schools in Liverpool, London & Guildford. A highlight of our partnership with Playstation was in March, when we took a huge group of girls to explore their headquarters.

We want to give girls a voice in tech, but we also want to have fun whilst doing it. That’s why we have decided to partner with these two amazing businesses to run this competition for 15 girls to get free access to DREAMS™ on their PS4. Once selected, the girls will be invited to “Hangout” with each other online with a DREAMS™ mentor from Media Molecule, who will introduce the game (may as well learn from the best, right?!). Over a number of weeks, the girls will play DREAMS™, creating their own games and concepts. After the weeks are up, the 3 girls with the 3 winning concepts will then be invited to a field trip to Media Molecule so they can explore the studio where the game was created!

The competition will be hosted on all of our social media platforms. Girls can enter for free via this google form. Girls will be chosen fairly, we welcome diversity and applicants from different regions.

The competition just launched this morning and will close as soon as 15 eligible applicants have filled out the entry form. There’s no time to waste!

Click here to enter – good luck!

We have recently launched our beloved tech programme online. Usually taught in schools, this programme is tried and tested – having been delivered it to 100s of girls in the UK already! No prior tech experience is needed, just yourself! Here’s moire info – hope to see you there!
