C# / Full Stack Web Software Engineer

Code Computerlove is committed to modern engineering practices and believe in using the right technology to solve the right problem; only building what needs to be built to deliver value with their client.

As part of the development discipline at Code, you will work alongside some of the best talents in the region. Their discipline attends, contributes to and hosts many of the best events in the North West Tech community including XPMan, MancJS, McrFRED, DevOps Manchester and North West Tester Gathering.

Role and responsibilities…

As a Web Software Engineer you will play a critical role in delivering Backend and Frontend technical solutions as part of your autonomous product team. You will have the support of other Software Engineers and their ‘Best in Industry’ Principal mentors, so you can keep progressing your own skills.

Their team take a ‘Test First’ approach to development, using TDD & SOLID development principles to ensure they maintain high quality.

They create products with a range of engineering technology, requiring a solid grounding in C#, MVC & dotnet Core, CI/CD, DevOps & Automation but also knowledge of React and NodeJS, along with your ability to bleed into the Frontend with your full stackability.

Skills and experience…

– You will already be a competent modern software developer, who has had experience of using TDD, Refactoring and SOLID principles, with CI/CD Automation; with some exposure to a Lean/Agile working environment.

– You will have knowledge of cloud services and awareness of DevOps automation practices in Azure or AWS.

– You have a solid grounding in Microsoft technologies (C#, MVC & dotnet Core etc), but you’re also aware of the importance of how to apply engineering/craftsmanship in other technology like React or NodeJS for example.

– Despite having a specialism in Software Engineering, you do consider yourself a bit more ‘Full Stack’ and keen to learn more, so have abilities in HTML, CSS/Saas, Javascript and tools like Grunt, Gulp or Webpack.

– You are pragmatic, level headed and take an empathetic approach to all aspects of your work.

– Perhaps you will already be attending tech community events in the North West, and recognise the importance of the tech community to calibrate and learn from other best in industry engineers.
