BI Analyst

We’re looking for a BI analyst to join us at Co-op and help to deliver business intelligence solutions across our organisation. You’ll become part of our data and loyalty team, which has a community of over 100 BI professionals. We’ve got a big job on our hands to transform the way we use data at Co-op. And when we get it right, it’ll have even bigger benefits for our customers, members, and colleagues.

As a BI Analyst, you’ll create reporting solutions to help our colleagues get a better understanding of their data. You’ll be involved in lots of projects, and we’ll look to you to develop BI dashboards and present key information back to our senior business leaders. What you’ll do

•    create, develop and implement dashboards through PowerBI to create insight for data driven decisions
•    interpret data, analyse results and provide ongoing BI capability to the business
•    acquire, capture, validate, cleanse and manage data from a number of different sources
•    establish plans for business data to manipulate, combine and transform as required, making sure data protection and quality standards are always met
•    seek out inefficiencies and use initiative to propose changes or improvements to data management and BI provision

This role would suit people who have

•    previous experience of business intelligence delivery
•    experience of BI technologies, PowerBI would be an advantage
•    exposure to the wider Azure environment
•    familiarity with relation databases, data models, database design, data mining and segmentation techniques
•    experience of SQL scripting, or other querying language
•    a strong numerical, logical and analytical mind
•    great communication skills, with the confidence to present up to executive level
•    ability to work autonomously and manage your own workload
