Our Solution Engineering team is responsible for providing the technical leadership throughout the sales process. This is a highly dynamic, customer-facing, and hands-on role within the sales and business development group where you’ll have the opportunity to help shape and deliver on the overall sales and delivery strategy for Flexera’s Software Vulnerability Management solutions.


As a Senior Solution Engineer, you will join our client’s talented, multicultural EMEA Pre-Sales organization. In this the role, you will assist both Flexera’s internal Account Management team as well as the greater partner ecosystem in identifying business value and collaborating on revenue generating strategies and opportunities. As a secondary focus, you will participate on various projects to improve the overall sales process.



  • Partner with sales representatives and services team to drive revenue for Flexera license, maintenance, consultancy, professional services and training across EMEA
  • Produce and/or deliver customer specific demonstrations, technical presentations and proof of concept activities
  • Contribute to RFI/RFP responses, by owning the technical part of the proposal
  • Carry out formal and informal assessments
  • Build a business case calculation to justify the solution
  • Educate the sales force on value propositions and product capabilities to improve self-sufficiency of sales reps
  • Foster relationships with key technology vendors, 3rd party integrators and industry influencers, as needed
  • Work with product management and engineering teams to define offerings and provide insight from the field back to these groups
  • Other related duties as assigned

Qualifications, Experience & Requirements:

You will come from a pre-sales background most likely working for a software vendor, technology partner or a software division of a large multinational IT company that has adopted insights or solution-based approach to selling. Your domain expertise will include some of the following:

  • BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related disciplines or equivalent experience
  • Cyber-security
  • Software Vulnerability Management
  • Software Patch Management
  • Application Lifecycle Management
  • Application patch deployment technologies
  • Windows, MacOS and Linux platforms
  • understanding of the current security threat landscape and typical issues facing customers
  • Knowledge of common terms, like CPE, CVE, CVSS, threats, attack vendor…
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Security solutions
  • Value and functional oriented presentation and demonstration skills
  • Extensive background in a customer facing role working on proof-of-concept development and delivery
  • write custom scripts to utilize APIs
  • Security qualifications such as CISSP or SANS will be an advantage
  • Business proficiency in English is a requirement
  • Additional European language skills desirable (German, French, Spanish, Italian, etc.)
  • Strong public speaking skills (conference or webinar)
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
