Channel Marketing Manager

Key purpose of the role

This role will develop and lead our ambitious channel marketing plans and drive their success. The successful candidate will be instrumental in providing direction to key stakeholders and ensuring the coordination of activities brings onboard new partners to join our programme, buy into our vision and support us in increasing sales.

You have sole ownership of all aspects of the partner experience across the entire lifecycle, from early profile targeting and engagement campaigns to onboarding and portal development. You will also be responsible for management of the Marketing development fund and tracking our return on investment ensuring that all due diligence is undertaken before agreeing any investment.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders in all elements of our Indirect business to ensure that our channel value propositions are industry-leading, relevant, and coherent. Furthermore, you’ll drive all partner-related content and campaigns, to ensure that growth is in line with and contributes to our corporate objectives.

Key Accountabilities

The key accountabilities include but are not limited to; 

  • Development and leadership of our Channel Marketing plan ensuring that it is future-proofed and industry-leading 
  • Identification of target partner profiles and attraction strategies 
  • Work with key internal stakeholders to ensure that our website supports the attraction of high-value partners
  • Development of a partner “in-life” support programme which empowers our smallest to largest partners, whilst adjusting our approach accordingly to ensure all aspects are fit-for-purpose 
  • Collaborate with our internal and external marketing teams to ensure that we deliver against our corporate plans and objectives  
  • Create and deliver a fully integrated channel communication plan from an internal and external perspective 
  • Work as an instrumental part of the team to develop the partner portal, ensuring that it is the “go-to” hub of knowledge and encourages sales activity 
  • Analyse market data and internal marketing statistics to determine future strategy and provide direction to our Sales teams in order to maximise conversion
  • Remain at the forefront of the latest and future marketing trends to ensure that we can utilise industry-leading techniques and technologies 
  • Lead by example, role models behaviours in line with the ITS values and behaviours

Skills / Abilities & Relevant Competencies

You will have a demonstrable track record of; 

  •  Excellent understanding of channel marketing dynamics and motivations 
  • Ability to assimilate diverse information and distil this into key information in a clear and concise manner
  • Holding a recognisable marketing qualification for example CIM
  • Creating, delivering, and evaluating the success of integrated marketing plans ensuring they meet the needs of multiple internal and external stakeholders 
  • Self-motivated and driven to meet service objectives and targets  
  • Enthusiastic and highly motivated with an eye for detail
  • Analysis, organisation, and planning skills to ensure that we can meet or exceed our customer expectations 
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to influence in a range of situations 
  • Flexible in approach to change and challenge  
  • Adopting a flexible approach with the ability to travel occasionally throughout the UK
