Head of Product Management

Key purpose of the role

The post holder will have overall responsibility for the complete life cycle of ITS products including all aspects of their launch, in life development and P&L. The post reports to the commercial strategy lead and will be part of the ITS leadership team. The overall of the role is to ensure ITS maximises its revenue and profit growth potential through leveraging the portfolio of existing and new products. The role will suit an ambitious dynamic individual who has significant experience of product management in a network or related technology business.

Key Accountabilities

  • Bring strong insight and direction to build a class leading connectivity portfolio that is compelling to wholesale/reseller partners and on to end users
  • Work across the ITS business to develop business cases for launch
  • Management of existing core product portfolio and new product development, ensuring competitive and profitable services are provided to customers to grow market share quickly
  • Work closely with the marketing to ensure that sales have the support to efficiently respond to requirements to win and retain business
  • Report on financial performance products and services and continually look for improvements with product profitability and customer experience
  • Develop and document product handbooks and processes, including service descriptions, contract forms, training plans and service level agreements
  • Maintain a product catalogue and work with systems development to replicate in API and portal environments
  • Ensuring any new service is delivered with a competitive commercial proposition. Work with finance in the development of commercial models and pricing logic.
  • Supporting major business development opportunities, that will often require bespoke based pricing
  • Evaluate the competitive market – competitor insight, capacity, future plans and support delivery of industry white papers
  • Develop an understanding of key customer propositions and approach to their markets, what their future requirements might be aligning to the characteristics of the ITS portfolio

  • Proven product management leader in the network or related sector
  • Knowledge of new fibre network technologies and deployments
  • Capable of great presentations, confident when networking, a leader
  • Dynamic and ambitious in line with ITS own culture and DNA.
  • Can innovate and think out of the box
  • Capable of leading teams both direct and virtual
  • A passion to drive ITS to be the leading alternative channel connectivity provider to business
