Learning and development Manager (12 months fixed term contract)

Description
We’re looking for a Learning & Development Manager to join our Operations team on a fixed-term basis (covering a 12 month period of maternity leave). You will be responsible for the creation and delivery of bespoke training programmes in support of the wider business. With leadership, management, business and personal progression in mind, you will expand on the talents and skills of all employees at all levels within the organisation.

Knowledge of the company, its clients and business strategy are all key, as these will be taken into consideration when establishing the required training and performance programmes.

Role and responsibilities…

As the learning and development manager, your responsibilities will involve:

Creating and embedding training programmes that are aligned with the organisation’s objectives with a strong understanding of what these are
Acting as the go-to within the business for anyone with questions or queries regarding training and development plans
Working closely with various leaders across the organisation and having a full understanding of their training requirements
Embracing different styles of training techniques
Having an awareness of the allocated budget and an ability to find solutions in order to implement the required training
Building relationships with 3rd party training providers
Managing the development of the Leadership team from a training perspective
Continuously review the touch points with Code employees and ensure any training is embedded into existing processes
Be able to report on any impact made through L&D
Act as the face of L&D for Code and where appropriate share within the community our approach to L&D
Work with Mediacom to utilise their offering and services where appropriate
Work closely with agreed community groups to help train and develop the talent pool for Code
Be aware of and actively work to develop your knowledge of emerging themes developing externally so that this awareness can be reflected and developed internally
Work with the rest of Operations and HR on pastoral people issues
Support managers with performance management plans

Skills and experience…
You will be expected to have experience in the following

Management, development and talent training
Designing and supplying a variety of training styles
Building relationships with external suppliers
Managing budgets
Confident in both written and spoken communication with the ability to present your work
Organisational skills
Proven people management
Experience in e-learning course design and budget management are desirable
Qualified to a degree, CIPD or CTP level, or equivalent would be advantageous
