As a data engineer at Monterosa, you will be working on projects to extend the capabilities of our Databricks/AWS CDP and developing our machine learning capability. You will enable us to rapidly deliver data and insights for our customers about their users that they are unable to answer anywhere else.What you’ll be doing

  • Building out our data infrastructure on AWS and Databricks
  • Designing and building data connectors in Databricks
  • Developing and maintaining datasets in Delta Tables / AWS S3
  • Managing complex data workflows
  • Configuring Tableau and Databricks BI tools to present analytics and insights
  • Analysing and organising complex raw data from multiple sources
  • Working with our customer data teams to plan integrations
  • Interpreting trends and patterns
  • Improving data quality, efficiency and reliability
  • Evaluating business needs and objectives
  • Identifying opportunities for data acquisition
  • Training and using ML models in ML Flow

About you

  • A logical mind and problem solving ability
  • Great numerical and analytical skills
  • Data Science / Software Engineering background
  • Experience as a data engineer, and ideally as a data analyst
  • Experience in programming languages: Python is a necessity, Scala and R useful
  • Technical expertise with data models, data mining and segmentation techniques
  • Experience building ETL pipelines from end to end
  • Databricks data engineering experience, or alternatively Spark/EMR/Glue
  • AWS experience, particularly S3, EMR, Glue
  • Ability to combine data from different sources
  • Experience training and running ML models
